what I meant to say was! Not only will this movie do well. it will also show Disney that good story will pay 10 times more than Mediocre story. (as far as I can see) And I might add.. that explosion scene with the helicopter? three seperate angles. then the long shot with the cup falling over! Brilliant!!
I'll snap his neck!! Number 1 for three weeks! that's my bet.. and 55 million the first weekend. 46 the next then in the thirties.. you can quote me.
hey, Hyrum I wanted to ask something. did you guys use maya for animating bolt??? and if so, are they looking to implement their own software package in the future or are they pleased with Maya
Oh..and are you familiar with the techniques they used to render the film (like did they use Renderman for Maya, to reach their goals for non-photorealistic rendering)??
Hi Darrin, We do use Maya, although it's been changed quite a bit to suite our needs. There is talk about switching to other software but I'm not at liberty to say when that will happen.......since I don't know :)
As for rendering, I really don't know. I know that we have a few patents pending and a few guys won an award for it. I'll I know is that it looks great. Sorry I can't be more help.
