All to save a buck

Here is our Christmas tree this year. It looks pretty good right?.........but if you were to lightly touch it or breath on it wrong, it would crumble to the ground. I am, and have always been, a fan of the "real" Christmas tree. I love the smell and getting a real tree is one of the only Christmas traditions we've ever really had in our family, but over the summer we went to a lot of yard sales and I found a really great deal on a fake Christmas tree. $30 for a massive tree, "think of all the money we'll save over the years", I thought. Well, when I finally tried setting up the tree I found that my massive tree was missing 70 percent of it's branches (I'm not the most observant yard sale shopper). So rather than take the $30 hit and just go out and buy another I decided to improvise. I cut the fake tree in half and with wire clippers, tape and play dough I created the most brilliant festive spectacle known to man. On December 26th it will go right into the trash, lets hope it lasts that long. Next year?............a real tree.
