WHY did Disney change the title for "Rapunzel" to the horrid, generic, STUPID title "Tangled". I've been looking forward to the 50th classic animated Disney fairytale for over a decade now and all the excitement has been taken away by this AWFULL, AWFULL, AWFULL title change.

I've been reading people react to the title change on forums, blogs etc and about 90% HATES the title! Change it back or let it be known that everyone seems to agree that Disney is F-ing with their own legacy by doing this and going for a cheap trick. I don't know if I should be crying or shouting at people.

I guess I'll have to make my own movie posters, merchandise, book covers with the title this movie deserves, which is "Rapunzel" and nothing else! Pass it on to the people in charge, the audience is NOT amused by this...

Ok, ok people...let's all just settle down, take a breath or two. Yes, Disney changed the name of our film from "Rapunzel" to "Tangled", the movIe however has not changed and is still really great. Sometimes these unexpected things happen.

It's just such a letdown. It doesn't make any sense. About 80 to 90% of the people who hear of the title change think the new title is awfull and doesn't fit the line of Disney classics.

And now Disney France announced that the french title will be "Princesse Raiponce" which means "Princess Rapunzel". It's getting really confusing with the US trying to put the focus on Flynn to attract a younger male audience while France and Europe focus on Rapunzel and capture the female demographic. Even the new synopsis Roy Conli gave us put more focus on Flynn and make it sound like he's the main character, even though the previous synopsis from january 2010 focuses on Rapunzel and her journey.

Either way, I think the title change is a bad decision and they should focus more on the release schedule, going head to head with the new Harry Potter movie, which can't be good for box office numbers.

I'm sooo looking forward to this movie, it's incredible and thank god there's a chance that in Europe we'll be getting Rapunzel related titles, cause "Tangled" is practically impossible to translate in several european languages.

Btw, do you have any idea when the general public will be getting new visuals or a trailer for the movie? Some say with the release of Alice in Wonderland, other say the "Princess and the Frog" trailer. I can't WAIT to see more.

Good luck with production btw! I bow down to your collective talent as a studio.
