Ahh..the memories of calling "The Fridge" to get my very own Refrigerator Perry action figure. I loved that silver football flail thing he came with, although I wished it wasn't all one piece of plastic, and instead actually had a chain to spin the football around.
That were the good ol' days, when you ordered special figures in the mail. Remember Sgt. Slaughter? And that episode where he gets out of the Cobra prison by unscrewing the prison panel screws with his thumbnail??
Ah yes, I remember Sgt. Slaughter and how cool he was on TV but then I bought the action figure and thought "All he has to fight with is a stick?...and his hat doesn't even come off" He was always the first casualty of my GIJoe adventures.
I remember the Fridge! We got to meet him at the Auto Show. I have the best photo of my little brother staring him down across the table where he was signing posters. Of course now aday's my brother's about the size of Refrigerator Perry. The Fridge was my favorite Bear.
